About Me & My Cooking Hobby

My name is Shalini Srivastava and this blog comes out of my passion for cooking for so many years. Right since childhood I was curious about experimenting with different flavors and fragrances to prepare new dishes. That hobby from childhood continued as I went through the different phases of my life. 

As I moved to US in 2005, far away from my roots and from larger family, cooking became my  way of expressing myself among my new friends.  It was also my way of connecting with others and learning from people from different background and cultures. After all, no matter where we go and what we do, there is always something unique about us, that defines us, our passion and our way of life, for me, it's my cooking.
